The Missouri Tigers concluded its magical college football season with a 14-3 victory over The Ohio State University at the Cotton Bowl at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX.
With the victory, the Tigers finished a stellar season with an 11-2 record and a win over a Top 10 opponent. Ohio State entered the Cotton Bowl ranked No. 7 in the College Football Playoff rankings while Mizzou was ranked No. 9.
Senior running back Cody Schrader enjoyed another big performance to close out his career as he rushed for 128 yards and scored a touchdown. His seven-yard run in the fourth quarter gave Mizzou a 7-3 lead. Quarterback Brady Cook (Chaminade) and wide receiver Luther Burden III (East St. Louis) hooked up on a 7-yard scoring strike with five minutes left in the game to provide the winning margin.
 In addition to the Tigers 11 victories and second-place finish in the SEC East Division, the postseason honors were also rolling in. Schrader was named to the AP All-American First Team. He was the first Mizzou player to receive that honor since 2013. Schrader finished the season with 1,627 yards and 14 touchdowns. He led the SEC in rushing and was a finalist for the Doak Walker Award, which goes to the nation’s top running back.
 Burden, the electrifying wide receiver, was named to the AP All-American Second Team after a brilliant sophomore season. He had 84 receptions for 1,207 yards and nine touchdowns while averaging nearly 100-yards per game.
Offensive lineman Javon Foster was named to the AP All-American Second Team while cornerback Kris Abrams-Draine was a Third-Team All-American selection.
 Cook, who was named the MVP of the Cotton Bowl, finished the season with 3,317 yards passing with 21 touchdowns and only six interceptions. He also rushed for 319 yards and eight touchdowns.
 To top it all off, Mizzou head coach Eli Drinkwitz received a new contract extension, which will take him through the 2028 season.
