The first-round pairings are set for the National Basketball Association’s Eastern Conference playoffs, which will begin this weekend.
The Chicago Bulls won the No. 1 seed and home-court advantage throuhout the conference playoffs. They will play the No. 8 seed Indiana Pacers. Chicago won the season series 3-1.
The No. 2 seed Miami Heat will face the No. 7 seed Philadelphia 76ers in the first round. The Heat won all three of the regular-season meetings.
The defending Eastern Conference champion Boston Celtics are the No. 3 seed. They will take on the No. 6 New York Knicks. Boston leads the season series 3-0 with one more game left to play.
The No. 4 Orlando Magic will play the No. 5 Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks won the season series 3-1. The Magic swept the Hawks last season in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
All first-round match-ups are a best of seven series.
