Major League Baseball just recently announced the rosters for their annual All-Star Game, which will be held on Tuesday, July 13 in Anaheim.

There are 11 African-American players who have been selected to play in the Mid-Summer Classic.

The list also includes St. Louisan Ryan Howard of the Philadelphia Phillies as well as Atlanta Braves rookie phenom Jason Heyward, who was voted in as a starting outfielder.

Jason Heyward (Atlanta Braves) – Outfield

Torii Hunter (Los Angeles Anaheim Angels) – Outfield

Derek Jeter (New York Yankees) – Shortstop

Brandon Phillips (Cincinnati Reds) – Second Base

David Price (Tampa Bay Rays) – Pitcher

Arthur Rhodes (Cincinnati Reds) – Pitcher

Vernon Wells (Toronto Blue Jays) – Outfield

Chris Young (Arizona Diamondbacks) – Outfield
