Seven-time Pro Bowler Orlando Pace will be indefinitely sidelined from the St. Louis Rams after injuring his knee during yesterday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. He left the game during the first half with an injured ligament, which could mean serious downtime for Pace.

St. Louis also lost right guard Richie Incognito with a strained rotator cuff just before halftime. Starting cornerback Ron Bartell was out with a torn meniscus in his knee during the first half of the game of the Rams’ 35-16 loss to San Francisco. All three players will undergo MRI exams soon.

Pace missed much of the previous two seasons with injuries, including all but one game in 2007 with a shoulder injury. He has missed just one of the Rams’ 10 games this season, but he went to the locker room during the second quarter against San Francisco.

Bartell, a fourth-year pro, started eight of the Rams’ first 10 games this season. Incognito missed the Rams’ final eight games last year with a dislocated kneecap.
