St. Louis Cardinal Albert Pujols is said to be the frontrunner among the candidates for the National League’s Most Valuable Player of the Year Award. The Baseball Writers of America will name the winner of the National League’s Most Valuable Player of the Year award today (Tues., Nov. 24).
Cardinal slugger Albert Pujols has won the award two times and was favored to win it again.
If he wins it, he would join an elite group of players. Only nine other players have won it three times, including former Cardinal Stan Musial.
