The St. Louis Rams traded its No. 6 pick to the Dallas Cowboys for the No. 14 and No. 45 picks Thursday night.  The team then used its first-round selection to draft LSU defensive tackle Michael Brockers.

Brockers, the 6’5,” 322lb.sophomore will be expected to open the season as the starter opposite free-agent signee Kendall Langford.  Les Snead, the team’s GM was reportedly interested in drafting Brockers at No. 6 if the Rams hadn’t dealt the pick.

The NFL draft will continue Friday night with the second and third rounds.  The Rams will have the the No. 33, 39, 40 and 65 picks during those rounds.  The draft will conclude Saturday with selections from rounds four through seven.
