St. Louis-based Rawlings Sporting Goods is ending its relationship with Michael Vick due to dogfighting conspiracy allegations against the Atlanta Falcons quarterback.

The company recognizes Vick has not been convicted of the federal charges, but said yesterday it felt it was necessary to part ways with the player.

Rawlings used Vick’s image as part of promotions in stores. It is the latest commercial setback for the NFL star. Nike suspended a lucrative contract with Vick last week and Reebok stopped sales of his jersey.
