The talented 6’6” junior guard was named the Most Valuable Player of the St. Francis Borgia Thanksgiving Tournament Blue Division last week.

Suggs averaged 23 points and six rebounds in three games as the Bluejays won two of their three games and advanced to the championship game.

In the first round game against Pacific, Suggs had 20 points, six rebounds, three assists and one blocked shot in Washington’s 69-50 victory. Suggs enjoyed a huge game in the Bluejays 58-51 victory over St. Clair in the semifinals. He had 32 points, eight rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks. He finished the tournament with 16 points, including three 3-pointers in Washington’s 38-35 loss to Jefferson City Helias in the finals. What’s more impressive about his performances is that he played the last two games with an fractured wrist.

A three-year starter, Suggs averaged 19 points a game as a sophomore in reaping All-Gateway Athletic Conference South Division honors.

After a summer of playing with the St. Louis Eagles, Suggs has ascended to the status as a Top 100 recruit nationally. He is being recruited by several major colleges and has already been offered scholarships by Saint Louis University, Missouri, Illinois, Washington, Florida and many others.
