The 5’6” junior guard had several productive performances over the Christmas holidays for the Jaguars.

Butler got warmed up for the holiday tournament season by scoring 33 points and grabbing 15 rebounds to lead the Jaguars past Webster Groves 77-71 in a nonconference game.

In the McCluer South-Berkeley Tournament, Butler averaged 22 points as the Jaguars finished 2-1 and won the consolation title. She scored 19 points in the Jaguars’ 46-42 loss to the host Bulldogs in the first round.

Butler followed that up with 27 points against Wellston and 21 points against Cardinal Ritter in the next two games.

For the season, Butler is averaging 17.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and three steals a game while shooting 46 percent from beyond the 3-point line.

A three-year starter for Gateway Tech, Butler was an All-Public High League selection as a sophomore after averaging 15.8 points, 7.4 rebounds and 3.3 steals a game. She is expected to reach the 1,000-point plateau of her career late in the season.
