Karingus Belton
University City
Boys Track
The talented junior hurdler was a double-winner at last week’s Henle Holmes Invitational at Parkway Central High.
Belton began the meet by winning the 110-meter high hurdles in 14.88 seconds. He followed that up by winning the 300-meter intermediate hurdles in a time of 39.97 seconds. He will be one of the top hurdlers to watch as the track season gears towards the postseason state series in about a month.
Belton returns as one of the Lions’ top track athletes after qualifying for the Missouri Class 3 state championships in 2006 in both hurdles events and as a member of the Lions’ 4×400-meter relay team. He was also a standout on the U. City football team during the fall.
