The 5’8″ junior guard led the Bulldogs to the championship of the McCluer South-Berkeley Tournament for the second consecutive year.
Lewis averaged 20 points in three games as the Bulldogs defeated Ritenour, Normandy and Career Academy for the title. In the first round, Lewis had 20 points, seven steals and three assists in a lopsided victory over Ritenour.
In the semifinals, Lewis had 22 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals in an impressive 87-60 victory over Normandy. Lewis followed up with 18 points, four assists and four steals to lead the Bulldogs past Career Academy 58-36.
A three-year starter, Lewis is enjoying the most productive season of her career. Through the first 10 games, Lewis is averaging 21.4 points, 6.8 rebounds and six steals a game in leading the Bulldogs to a 10-0 record.
As a sophomore, Lewis led the Bulldogs to the quarterfinals of the Class 3 state tournament, which was the best showing in the school’s history.
