American tennis star Coco Gauff advanced to the semifinals at Wimbledon with a three-set victory over fellow American Jessica Pegula on Tuesday.

Gauff, the No. 7 seed defeated her former doubles partner and No. 4 seed Pegula 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 in an exciting quarterfinals match in London. At 22, Gauff became the youngest player to advance to the semifinals of all four Grand Slam Tournaments since 2007.

A two-time Grand Slam champion, Gauff has shown a lot of staying power at Wimbledon, winning four of her matches in three sets.

“I’ve been going three sets almost every match,” said Gauff in her post-match interview on the court. “I feel like when you have that faith in yourself as a competitor, when the match goes the distance, you know when you lose one set, you’re not panicking.”

Gauff will face No. 10 seed Karolina Muchova of Czech Republic in the semifinals on Thursday. Muchova defeated Naomi Osaka in straight sets in her quarterfinal match on Tuesday.
