St. Louisan Jayson Tatum was selected to the National Basketball All-Star Game for the fifth time in his stellar career.

The former Chaminade College Prep All-American was selected as a starter for the Eastern Conference All-Stars. The All-Star Game will be held on Sunday, February 18 in Indianapolis.

Joining Tatum in the starting lineup for the East squad will be Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard of the Milwaukee Bucks and Tyrese Halliburton of the host Indiana Pacers.

Tatum is enjoying another tremendous season in leading the Boston Celtics to a 35-10 record, which is currently the best in the NBA. He is averaging 27 points, 8.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists while shooting 46 percent from the field, 36 percent from 3-point range and 81 percent from the free throw line.

Tatum was the Most Valuable Player of last year’s All-Star Game in Salt Lake City after scoring a game-high 55 points.

The five starters for the Western Conference All-Stars are LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns, Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets, Shai Gilges-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks.
