Simone Biles is the ‘Greatest Of All Times’ and there is no doubt, no way, no how.
Biles won her second Olympic all-around title in gymnastics on Thursday, making her second to none. Did she know it was coming? Well, she wore a GOAT necklace before the Paris Summer Olympics event began.
“My GOAT necklace is just kind of an ode, because some people love it and some people hate it, so it’s like the best of both worlds,” Biles said.
“I was like, ‘OK, if it goes well, we’ll wear the GOAT necklace. I know people will go crazy over it.'”
She has nine Olympic medals, six of them gold. Add to that 39 medals at the world championships and Olympics. She has more hardware than any other gymnast. She holds six world titles, twice as many as any woman.
As reported by ESPN.com, Biles faced “one of her closest calls during an international meet.”
“After a challenging rotation on uneven bars, which saw her legs nearly hit the floor after she misjudged a transition, Biles had fallen to the unfamiliar position of third place in the standings at the halfway mark. But she regrouped before moving on — praying to “every single god out there” — and reclaimed the lead after balance beam.”
Among those in the crowd were Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, and as she finished her balance beam routine, she and they knew the gold medal was hers.
And she could score more gold. The vault, beam and floor competitions await Biles, and she is the favorite to win all three.
