Fort Zumwalt West (1-2) at Francis Howell (3-0), Friday, 7 p.m.

This showdown in St. Charles features the two top teams in the Gateway Athletic Conference South. A huge crowd is expected to be on hand for this game.

The two teams split two prime-time games last season with Howell winning the regular-season game and West coming back to win in the Class 6 state quarterfinals. Both teams have similar playoff aspirations this year.

The Vikings have been impressive in winning their first three games by a combined score of 151-30. They are led by quarterback Eric Siebenshuh, who has passed for 724 yards and seven touchdowns. His favorite target is receiver Corey King, who has 217 yards receiving and four touchdowns.

Howell’s defense is fast and they are capable of taking the ball away. The Vikings scored four defensive touchdowns in a big victory over Jefferson City Helias in Week 2.

Fort Zumwalt West is 1-2, but their losses have come against top-ranked CBC in a 52-49 shootout and Arkansas state-power Bentonville. The Jaguars have plenty of offensive weapons, including quarterback Drew Hare. He has rushed for 216 yards and three touchdowns while passing for 635 yards and six touchdowns.

Senior tailback Ray Harris is a top offensive threat as a runner and pass receiver while senior Kyle Echols leads a talented group of receivers.
