Webster Groves (2-0) at SLUH (1-1), Friday, 7 p.m.

This non-conference game features two of the most potent offenses in the St. Louis area.

The Webster Groves Statesmen are averaging 48 points a game in their two victories while the Junior Billikens are averaging 42 points in their first two games.

Webster’s powerful offense is led by senior quarterback Rayshawn Simmons, who has passed for 441 yards and eight touchdowns, despite playing only a half of his team’s first two games. Simmons has a talented group of receivers to throw to, led by A.J. Farrar and Demetrius Robinson.

The Statesmen are seeking their third consecutive appearance in the Class 5 state championship game. Webster Groves won the state title in 2010 and finished second in 2011.

SLUH will counter will a talented quarterback of its own in senior Trevor McDonough, who has thrown for nearly 400 yards in two games. Seniors Mitch Klug and Stefan Sansone are McDonough’s favorite targets. The Junior Bills also have a capable running back in Cameron Stubbs, who rushed for 197 yards in a 49-27 victory over Ladue last weekend.
