A source told MLB.com that Albert Pujols and his representatives are scheduled to meet with Flordia Marlins management as early as this weekend.
Pujols, 31, became a free agent on November 2nd after the slugger and the Cardinals could not reach a contract agreement. According to reports, the Marlins are prepared to give Pujols big bucks to sign with the team as they prepare to move into a new stadium. The new stadium is expected to generate additional revenue for the organization.
Many league sources believe Pujols will remain a Cardinal, but expect a handfull of other teams to make an attempt to sign him.
