‘Tis the holiday season, and I

have observed some things that I would like to wish for my brethren

this holiday season.

For the

St. Louis Cardinals… 106 wins, playoffs

included.

For the

St. Louis Rams… More than a second chance and a

clue.

For the

St. Louis Blues… A power play for April, May and

dare I say June.

For

Mizzou athletics… Mercy from SEC opponents like

LSU and Alabama for two years.

For St.

Louis University Men’s Basketball… Bigger-name teams to

come to St. Louis, although the good teams know a loss would be a

reality now.

For

Steve Spagnuolo… A stay of execution, better

assistants and a guy who can find him better players.

For

Billy Devaney… A chance to issue an apology for

not finding a legitimate receiver since he has been here as a

general manager.

For

Frank Haith… A map to St. Louis and a name

tag.

Academy… A reminder to all that they still run it when it

comes to girls basketball, no matter how many time Channel 5 does

stories on St. Joes.

For the

Los Angeles Lakers Haters… A new member: say hello

to Commissioner David Stern.

For

Stan Kronke… A way to let us know when he is

moving the Rams, or just a few syllables that let us know you

really exist.

For the

Cardinals… Ozzie Smith at spring training giving

back.

For

Kobe Bryant… More memory for his iPhone for more

phone numbers now.

For

Albert Pujols… A reality check to go along with

his paycheck.

For the media

who champions Albert and everything they think is right with him… a

real clue.

For

Earl Austin, Jr. … A bigger broadcasting stage.

No one is better at what he does.

For

Rene Knott… His just due. No one works harder in

sports in this market than he does and it shows by his work. St.

Louis’ best sports anchor.

For

Frank Cusumano… A heavy silver medal.

For

Charlie Tuna… More hours in the night for radio

and a signal to go with it.

For

Mike Shannon… As long as he wants.

For

Shimmy Gray Miller… A local blue-chip player and

an administration that cares.

For

Harris Stowe… A real athletic department with

money that would rule the area.

For Dr.

Henry Givens Jr.… A thank you on behalf of all of those

who had the chance to further their education thanks to your

vision.

For the

PHL… Pride in what it used to be and could someday

be again.

To Rich

Gray of the Gateway Classic… More support from our

community for what should be a football tradition.

To Rich Gray,

again… Lincoln University, Tennessee State, Jackson State and

whoever wants to be the fourth team.

To my talk

radio colleagues… The same peace and harmony you displayed in

2011.

To Rams fans… A

new team to root for and follow for at least two years.

To Blues fans…

The ability to just enjoy the run and hold off on The Cup

talk.

To Cardinal

fans… Patience with the new manager. He is not Tony so half of you

will already like him.

To Mizzou fans…

The ability to inhale real big-time college football.

To St. Louis U

fans… Two rounds of the tournament, minimum.

To all of my

favorite bartenders and waiters… More customers like me who are

willing to pay to go that extra mile.
