My oldest daughter asked me before the kickoff of the St. Louis Rams and Pittsburg Steelers game, if I believed in Santa Claus.

She also asked me if the Rams were going to win against the Steelers. I smiled at my tall six year old child and said no.

She said, “You don’t believe in Santa Claus, Daddy?” I said, “No, the Rams are not going to win.” Just that fast our little exchange had ended.

She didn’t follow up with me about Santa Claus.

I’d probably have more answers about Santa Claus than I would of the Rams. The Rams got ran over by the Steelers instead of a reindeer 27-0.

This team just continues to spiral into a place that not even the St.

Louis Football Cardinals would reach.

I’ve said it before and will keep saying it, writing it, and typing it.

This is unacceptable. The Rams needs to clean house bad.

From the front office to the janitor, there has to be change. Because, pretty soon people are just not going to care anymore about professional football in St. Louis.

Rams owner Stan Kroenke has to find someone in the NFL that has some football savvy. He has to find people that can evaluate talent. Kroenke needs to bring people into the organization that have a feel of what it is to be a part of the St. Louis Rams.

Billy Devaney and Steve Spagnuolo just didn’t get that part. Think about it for a quick second. Under the Billy Devaney watch. he saw fit to phase out two wide receivers that are of true Hall of Fame caliber in Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt.

Hen then brings in an absolute bum named Drew Bennett and claims he is the heir apparent to Isaac Bruce. When you think of the St. Louis Rams you think of Isaac Bruce, Torry Holt, Marshall Faulk, Orlando Pace, Aeneas Williams and always Mike Jones.

This regime wanted us to forget about those names and replace them with some of their own. And of course the Rams would disagree with that. The Isaac Bruce ceremony, and Marshall Faulk ceremony comes to mind. But, I’m not referring to that.

I’m talking about making a transition from one regime to another. Instead of using the animal mentality of urinating on a bush, there wasn’t a real olive branch until the fans started displaying their discontent.

Especially, going to a practice out at Rams Park and watching someone running around the field wearing the #80 or #81.

Now, Spagnuolo always says his team plays hard every week. Well I would hope so. Coach Spagnuolo does himself a disservice saying that to the media. Especially, in these tough economic times, where you can work hard and not get the job done, which leads you to lose your job.

And a lot of the working people are not as fortunate to land another six/seven figure salary after a colossal failure. Even if there was a solid effort.
