Oh, yes, the St. Louis Rams looked dominant during the Monday Night Football conquest of the hapless Detroit Lions.

Oh, no, to those end zone celebrations and sack dances.

If anyone didn’t think running back Stephen Jackson was ready to take over as the Rams’ No. 1 running back, he proved them wrong with a marvelous 100-plus yard effort and a touchdown.

If anyone thought he is as mature as the classy Marshall Faulk, he proved them wrong with his antics in the end zone following his first touchdown. The roll-the-dice, snap-your-fingers, slide-step routine was way out of line – especially for a preseason game.

Retired Rams linebacker Mike Jones didn’t celebrate after “The Tackle” that clinched a Super Bowl victory as wildly as Chris Claiborne and Anthony Hawthorne did after tackling the quarterback in this meaningless contest.

It’s a long season, guys. Let’s take it easy on the showboating.
