On Nov. 7, Mrs. Inez J. Giles, a retired public school teacher, celebrated her 104th birthday. She is mentally sharp and active with Zeta Phi Beta sorority and the Sumner High School Alumni Association, where she is the oldest member. She attributes her longevity to loving, honoring and serving God and eating healthy and well-balanced meals. Her birthday celebration will be held on Nov. 11 at Washington Metropolitan AME Zion Church where she is “Mother of the Church.”
