Flu shot

For the 14th consecutive year, Barnes-Jewish Hospital will provide free seasonal flu shots beginning Monday, October 2.

The flu, or influenza, is a contagious respiratory illness with symptoms such as fever, body aches and sore throat. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends everyone 6 months of age and older should get the flu vaccine. Last year, more than 200,000 Americans were hospitalized with flu-related complications each year, according to the CDC.
