The CEO of Myrtle Hilliard Davis Comprehensive Health Centers, Angela Clabon recently met with the president of Logan University and members of the St. Louis Children’s Hospital administration to determine how they can better serve the underserved in the community.
Clabon plans to incorporate the doctors and students of Logan University to begin offering chiropractic services in the northwest St. Louis City area.
“Logan University is excited by the possibility of working with Myrtle Hilliard Davis in fulfilling their mission to serve the healthcare needs of the medically underserved,” Clay McDonald, president of Logan University stated, adding that doctors, student interns and patients would benefit from the potential partnership.
Myrtle Hilliard Davis is also working with Children’s Hospital to form a reciprocal relationship in referring and providing specialized care to youth in the community.
Rick Majzun, vice president of Strategic Operations and Planning for Children’s Hospital, stated “The comprehensive services our FQHCs [Federally Qualified Health Centers] offer truly serve as a model for the future,” and he looks forward to working collaboratively to improve the health of the community.
