Bitterly cold temperatures last week prompted St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger to open two, warming centers, one at St. Vincent Community Center at 7335 St. Charles Rock Road and the other at Affton Community Center at 9801 MacKenzie Road. The centers will be open from 6pm tonight until 8am the following morning. Stenger said. “Our staff is dedicated to the safety and well-being of everyone and the centers will be open this winter when the temperature is 20 degrees or colder.” Meals will be provided along with sleeping accommodations and medical care.
