Actor/comedian Eddie Murphy is reportedly lined up to star in a movie about a retired old-school rapper who decides on a new job.
Johnny Blaze is an action comedy that sets Murphy as a rapper-turned-private eye who solves crimes within the hip-hop world.
The concept was hatched by Murphy and Brian Grazer, who produced The Nutty Professor and Nutty Professor II: The Klumps, as well as the TV series The PJs.
Murphy has also agreed to work with DreamWorks pictures again to voice Shrek 3.
