The WB Network has greenlighted Bow, a half-hour pilot that will star rapper-actor Bow Wow as himself.
The former Lil’ Bow Wow, born Shad Moss, has a talent deal with WB that began with a 2003 comedy pilot that did not make the series cut.
Bow will follow the rapper as he becomes an adult and starts to take control of his affairs. Erica Montolfo, David Hoge and Dan Cross, all veterans of UPN’s One on One and several other series, are writing and executive producing the pilot, which comes from Touchstone TV.
When he was still Bow Wow, he starred in the 2002 comedy Like Mike and in last year’s Johnson Family Vacation. He will appear in the feature Roll Bounce later this year.
