Friday night, Anheuser-Busch and the St. Louis Mardi Gras Foundation pulled out all the stops for Mayor Tishaura Jones with their presentation of her 2025 Mayor’s Mardi Gras Ball. There were performances by Murphy Lee, the Red & Black Brass Band, and the Dirty Muggs. In between the stage acts, DJ Mahf took over – and spun his mixes into the night.

There was plenty of live talent as well. Dancers, illusionists, hula-hoopers, made for an abundance of photo opportunities throughout the Anheuser-Busch Biergarten. Most guests took advantage of the massive Clydesdale replica positioned to the left of the dance floor, which gave the perfect backdrop for social media updates.

Overall, the Ball was a massive hit attended by many familiar faces. Mr. Gary of “Them Yo People,” Foxy 106.9 FM radio personality KIKI The First Lady, and Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis President and CEO Michael McMillan are just a few of the influential citizens who came through to get an early start to their Mardi Gras celebrations. Friday night’s ball was a reminder of why St. Louis has a reputation as one of the best places in the nation to celebrate Mardi Gras – right up there with New Orleans aka “The Big Easy.”

Money raised by the Mayor’s Mardi Gras Ball is a source of funding for the St. Louis Mardi Gras Foundation’s Soulard and Downtown Community Improvement Grants.
