Singer and songwriter Nivea shared an update on her health during a recent appearance on The Tamron Hall Show. Earlier this year, she revealed on the YouTube series The Cadillac Chronicles that she had been diagnosed with leukemia and is now in remission.
During her Oct. 7 interview with Hall, Nivea announced she is preparing to release her first major music project in nearly 20 years. She also said she has enrolled in school to study audio engineering.
“I’m in love with sound in general,” she said.
Nivea added that the new album will include “a lot more very relatable topics” and will sound “a lot more soulful than people have heard from me in the past.”
