A woman loses between $700,000 and $2 million over her working lifetime, simply because of her gender. The wage gap seriously impacts the daily lives of women and their families across the country at every economic level and in every industry.

“Closing the Wage Gap: Who Pays for Unequal Pay?” is the topic of a free educational forum from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, January 10 at The Center of Clayton, 50 Gay Ave., Clayton (near I-170 and Maryland Avenue). A continental breakfast will be offered at 8:30 a.m. Free parking is available.

Guest presenter will be Evelyn Murphy, PhD, resident scholar of the Women’s Studies Research Center at Brandeis University, former lieutenant governor of Massachusetts, and corporate director of Citizens Energy Corporation and SBLI USA Mutual Life Insurance.
