The National Park Service issued a solicitation on Sept. 22 for proposals for construction of the North Gateway of Jefferson National Expansion Memorial.

The North Gateway is part of the CityArchRiver 2015 Project. It includes seven acres of open, multi-use landscaped area with a large event lawn, children’s garden and a shared pedestrian/ bicycle path that will create an accessible link between the park, the city and the central riverfront. It will also serve as a connection from the park to the Laclede’s Landing business district north of Eads Bridge, the Washington Avenue business, and the residential district. The work will include demolition of the Gateway Arch parking garage.

More details on the project and instructions on how to submit a proposal can be found at: http://www.fbo.gov Solicitation No. P14PS02494. Responses are due October 22, 2014, 5 p.m. Central Standard Time.
