Calvin Nicholas, a former associate principal of Normandy High School, has been named principal of the school. Nicholas, who most recently served as principal of the district’s Positive Alternative Learning Center, served as Normandy High’s associate principal during the 2008-09 school year. Prior to joining the district, he was academic dean of B.E.S.T. Academy at Benjamin S. Carson in Atlanta and assistant principal at the Capitol Pre-College Academy for Boys in Baton Rouge.
