Former state Rep. Clem Smith has been appointed to the Missouri Ethics Commission.
Smith, who represented Missouri’s 85th District, currently serves on the Hazelwood School District board. He previously worked as an aircraft assembly mechanic for Boeing and now works as a refinery operator for Phillips 66.
Smith also has served as secretary of the Uplift Foundation of Greater St. Louis and as a unit committeeman with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 399.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in general studies from Columbia College and a certificate in industrial skills training from St. Louis Community College.
