Mayor Tishaura O. Jones has appointed Rasmus S. Jorgensen as her new deputy director of communications.
“Rasmus is working closely with me and will be a key contact to reporters seeking information about operational aspects of the City of St. Louis, such as street work, refuse, utilities, and more,” said Jones.
An immigrant who came to the United States in 2016 and became a citizen in 2021, Jorgensen’s professional background lies in both journalism and government communications.
Most recently, he was a St. Louis-based reporter at Missouri Lawyers Media.
