In one of her first public appearances since her stunning resignation as editor of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Ellen Soeteber wil speak during the Greater St. Louis Association of Black Journalists award ceremony and reception at 5 p.m. Saturday, November 19 in Simon Hall at Washington University, Forsyth at Big Bend.
Soeteber announced she is leaving her position as editor after five years because of an inability to work with Lee Enteprises concerning staff and budget cuts and her own compensation.
She will speak on the challenges of covering news in a changing media environment.
