If you all didn’t check out our website www.stlamerican.com last week, you were probably left wondering what the connection was between Kool and the Gang and the Schnuck family. Well, here’s the deal: Craig Schnuck hired Kool and the Gang to perform at his and Tracy Schnuck’s wedding reception at the Ritz Carlton in Clayton. You can do that when you’re Craig Schnuck. And oh, what a celebration. Kool and two band members were birthday boys, so after they performed we all headed up to Finale in Clayton to celebrate their b-days. We kicked it to about 1:30, since the gang had to be in Florida for a weeklong gig at Disney World. Right on to Charles Stone, Kool and the Gang’s longtime road manger and a Florissant homie, for the invite.
