Suge Knight did the Lou this past weekend and said he liked it because people here are real. Good thing he only got a chance to meet a few of us. People kept wondering if there would be any static with Suge roaming the STL and there wouldn’t have been if Kemo, the former one half of Da Hole 9 wouldn’t have tripped. But dude tripped hard. He walked up in the Vault for the local talent showcase and spit some stank words in local rapper Dug Budda’s face. Budda is on the local Check Mate label that brought Suge to town, so Check Mate and Suge’s cats were all standing there. Dug tried to tell Kemo that that wasn’t the time to be tripping, but that didn’t stop Kemo. The entourage stopped Kemo. It was hard to see who actually knocked some sense into him, but Suge was in the mix, though Suge didn’t trip; Kemo was tripping, but he later called Check Mate CEO Donrico to apologize. Yeah, Say Saurrry. Nah, Suge did say that he doesn’t need bodyguards – just lawyers for when he has to get buck. Word is that Kemo had a knife, but wasn’t able to do anything with it. Security secured him to the outdoors. Other than that everything was all-good. A local rapper named 10 Dub won the showcase. I don’t know if that means Suge is going to sign him, but Check Mate is rapping with Suge about Dug Budda. Budda performed Saturday night at Rio with rapper Petey Pablo who recently got with Suge’s label. Petey played hypeman during Budda’s performance. The place was packed and the pool was open. Everybody partied hard, including Suge who was onstage rocking with Budda, Petey, Donrico and the rest of their crews.
