Portfolio Gallery is offering a rare opportunity for St. Louisans to view the work of internationally renowned artist Tina Allen. Her creations have appeared in some of the most prestigious galleries in the United States and abroad. Last week she traveled to St. Louis to unveil her latest work, a large-scale bronze sculpture of George Washington Carver, which will occupy the George Washington Carver Garden, at the beautiful Missouri Botanical Gardens. Allen’s Bronze and Works On Paper will go on display at Portfolio Gallery with an opening reception from 3- 8 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 16.
