Willie Cole, sculptor and printmaker, will discuss his work at UM-St. Louis next Friday, Nov. 18 as part of “Telling Tales: Narrative Threads in Contemporary African American Art,” an exhibit examining the role of storytelling in African-American visual expression. The display runs from November 19- January 1 at Cedarhurst Center for the Arts in Mt. Vernon, IL. Cole’s works are included in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Whitney Museum of American Art in New York and Philadelphia Museum of Art among others.
