The Platinum Group, Inc. had a big-time opportunity to assist with the red carpet on the ASCAP Awards and the BET Awards. Sometimes we forget that this local company handles public relations as well as events, and they held it down in L.A. on the carpet tip. I peeped Jacque and Leata Land, Sharron Troupe, Denise Caldwell and Dwayne Bryant, all movers for the Platinum Group, at the ASCAP Awards escorting Janet Jackson, Jermaine Dupree, The Youngbloodz, Donnie Simpson, The Game, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis (who received the lifetime award), Nancy Wilson, Crucial, Alicia Keys, Smokey Norfol, Won G., Holly Robinson Peete, India.Arie, Dre & Vidal, Timbaland, Nadia Turner and Anwar Robinson (from American Idol), Goapple, Kelly Price, (who lost weight, lots of weight, but somehow still looked a hot mess; she needs a good stylist), and many more writers and producers. Special shout out to St. Louis producers TrackBoyz, TrackStarz and rappers J-Kwon and Chingy, who were all honored by ASCAP. I peeped Suge Knight, but not on the inside. He stood outside. Security would NOT let him in cuz they didn’t want him up in there clowning. Nobody wanted to duck with chairs flying about the place. When rapper Game knew he was lurking, he got ghostly. It was not a game.
