I’m like grimey old Groucho Marx – I wouldn’t want to be a member of any club willing to have me as a member. But, anyway, Nimmy “Hendrix” Russell keeps pushing on with his Beautiful People’s Club concept. Thursday, October 27 is the kick-off for The Beautiful People’s Club presents Uncensored Thursdays at Toxic. It’s supposed to be an every Thursday thing. There are different admissions for members and non-members and some kind of club card, like Sam’s or something. Anyway.
Folks are supposed to bring in their own street mixes and hope for a spin. DJ Sno will be at the tables. Expected at the mic are the BPC, All Stars, Shawty Redd, Joker, A Verb (this dude is good – we’ve been owing you and Mr. Clean a spot on the Vine), with special invited guests Potzee and Youvee from the Quor, Kyjuan from the St. Lunatics, Tony J from Traffic Radio, Lil Roc, DJ AJ and Charlie Chan.
That’s the A-List. I’m just not sold on the club concept. It’s got a little “Mousketeer on Ex” feel to it. But get on, Nimmy.
