The Majic brand that has been a mainstay in the St. Louis radio market is no more. As of 12 noon today, Majic 100.3 FM once again became 100.3 The Beat.
The catch is that the station will be primarily throwback Hip-hop with hint of R&B.
A source said the station will now be a majority old-school hip-hop station and the Majic element of iHeart Radio – which includes Z 107.7, KLOU, Wild 104.9, Hallelujah 1600 and others – will cease to exist.
The format switched at noon with a mix currently underway that includes Black Rob, Notorious BIG, Case, Foxxy Brown and Total.
