While it was wonderful seeing my boo Tank, it gave me a prime example for another subject I’ve been meaning to touch on that isn’t so pleasant. Even though I don’t like it, I’m used to talent that gets on a diva high-horse. But when did this become the case of the “team?” In Tank’s case, he was a joy to be around – but some lady he had with him was not so much…actually she was ‘doing the most.’ She was cutting her eyes, pointing fingers and acting all irritated, while being annoying at the same time. “Who is this?” she says to somebody about someone invited up to VIP. Yet for the first ten minutes I had assumed she was the newest member of the Loft’s hospitality staff. Now don’t get me wrong, with an easygoing laidback personality/lightweight pushover star, somebody has to be on hand to keep order. But for her, I was one breath away from sayin’ “girl, now you’re just being obnoxious.” It almost feels like the roles have been reversed and the stars must justify the behavior of the folks that are helping them out. The whole thing is just tired and unnecessary. To all the folks tryin’ to ego it up on the strength of the celebs they represent, please take a bow and get back behind the scenes.
