Just about everybody and their mamas were partying up in Nectar Lounge last Friday for STL Ram Orlando Pace’s post-game party after we took it to the Bears. When I rolled up on the scene Orlando was out front being the everyday person that he is, but that was last time he was peeped in the area all night. I overheard that he had to take his boo to the crib. Did she not feel like partying? Was she not feeling well? Pregnant? Maybe she couldn’t stand the groups of groupies? Who knows? The groupies weren’t actually out in full swing because this was a private party, though a pro athlete wallet scout hit my photographer’s celly trying (unsuccessfully) to get a hook-up. She got a hook-up all right: After listening to her begging, he put his phone on the hook and we were up. If you aren’t on the VIP list, there’s a reason. One can just imagine the combined sweeping email list of the party’s promoters, Synergy head Amit Dhawan, Hipster hustler Keenan Harris and STL Rams staffer Keith Harris. Speaking of Rams staffers, what’s up with some of the Rams staff and Rams players? My photographer tried to get a flick of two of them together, but they both refused, explaining that it isn’t all-good between them. Toxic club owner Reno was all-good with just about everyone kicking it on the west bar. He was setting Petron shots out like they were possessions from an evicted family’s apartment. Anyway, the place was jumping with the who’s who of the Lou: Jahidi White, Rocky Arceneaux, Gabrielle Davis, Nick Loftis, Fred Finley, Robert Kirk, Cheresse Pentella, Reno, Candice Edwards, Pamela Knight, Szanell, Bill Beene, Mohammed Witherspoon, Billye Roberts, heirs Mike and Jeanne Roberts, Demetrius Alexander, Jackie Johnson, Melissa Payne, Ashaki and Jimelle Meyers, Scott Rosenblum, Sam Foxman and STL Rams Marshall Faulk, Stephen Jackson and Travis Fisher.
Speaking of Travis, he’ll be hosting the return of The Movement’s Monday Night Football at 7:30 p.m., Monday, Sept. 12 at Plush.
