The Missouri History Museum is pushing back tomorrow’s Twilight Thursday performance because of extreme heat. The tribute to the O’Jays — originally set for September 3 — will now take place Thursday, October 1.
Twilight Thursdays have been a staple on the museum’s front lawn for more than a decade, offering free outdoor concerts that highlight R&B, soul, jazz and the sounds that shaped St. Louis’ cultural landscape. What started as a small warm‑weather music series has grown into one of Forest Park’s most consistent community gatherings — lawn chairs, families, food vendors and familiar songs filling the space between the museum steps and Lindell Boulevard.
As the fall stretch of the season continues, here’s what’s next on the lineup:
Luther Vandross Anthology
Thursday, September 10 | 6–8 p.m.
A celebration of Luther Vandross’ extraordinary legacy — smooth vocals, timeless ballads and the R&B classics that defined his sound.
