Who could think about partying this weekend when everyone was thinking about Hurricane Katrina’s victims? Well, St. Louis Nites regulars must have been trying to party the negative images off their minds, because it was stepping-on-shoes-crowded up in there Sunday. I even peeped Catina Scott (get well soon) and her crew up in VIP. Steve Lacy’s party was jumping, but I think a typo on his flyer might have hurt his turnout. Not to mention that Toxic is a huge club to fill. The 4th Annual St. Louis Rams Kick-off Party, hosted by cornerback Travis Fisher, Koncept, Clear Channel Communications and Hpnotiq, was a winner. Right on for all the love to Keith Harris and Baqi Cherry. The Rams weren’t the only celebrities in the house. Jeanne Roberts’ girl Keisha Knight Pulliam (of Cosby Show fame – she played Rody Huxtable), was kicking in VIP all night. Jeanne and Keisha have been friends since college.
Another party that was surprisingly HOT – well, NOT! The TrackStarz party Sunday at Plush barely had enough people to work the bars at Toxic.
Now I enjoyed the free drinks, TrackStarz, but I was looking for a real party. And what was up with Staci Static blowing bad breath in my boy Bill Beene‘s face about a party that happened two years ago. Let me set the record straight for her: Staci hosted a party two years ago at the WS – not April Simpson. There! Hopefully April won’t get up in my face to correct me. Anyway, I hope I can find a good party this coming weekend since the Dub Car Show will be in town. I know RIO and Plush are hosting events. I am not going to lie. I am going to Plush for the All Stars’ afterparty on Sunday (tickets at MetroTix, y’all). I need that $1,000 supermodel Vida Guerra is giving away to the flyest lady in the STL … Sorry, ladies, that would be me!
