Young Jeezy’s name came up last week during testimony in a federal cocaine-conspiracy case against alleged Black Mafia Family associate, Fleming “Ill” Daniels.

BMF member Ralph “Ralphie” Simms testified Thursday (June 12) that the rapper, whose real name is Jay Jenkins, received kilos of cocaine from the criminal organization.

Simms described an incident in 2004 when he was ordered by high-ranking BMF members Chad “J-Bo” Brown and Martez “Tito” Byrth to set aside multi-kilo cocaine “shipments” for two customers. When asked who those customers were Jeezy was named, reports Creative Loafing Atlanta.

So far, Jeezy has not been charged with a crime in relation to the allegation. His name had been mentioned before in the case, but only in relation to his friendship with BMF’s Atlanta-based leader, Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory.

Big Meech pleaded guilty in Detroit last November to running a continuing criminal enterprise. He faces a minimum sentence of 20 years.
