The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis celebrated achievement, service and lasting impact during its Salute to Women in Leadership Gala on Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Marriott St. Louis Grand Hotel. The annual celebration honored women whose work strengthens communities throughout the St. Louis region and beyond.
Pam Grier, Jayne Kennedy and Dr. Aysha Mubarak received Lifetime Achievement Awards, bringing national star power and distinguished accomplishments to an evening dedicated to recognizing extraordinary women. The celebration also featured entertainment from “American Idol” winner Ruben Studdard.
With honorees representing a range of professional and civic fields, the gala spotlighted the many ways women help advance the Urban League’s mission of empowering communities and changing lives.
