Meacham Park

The Meacham Park Neighborhood Improvement Association will host a musical event celebrating and honoring the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. at 1 p.m. Monday, January 21 at the Keating Auditorium at Kirkwood High School, 801 W. Essex Ave.

The program will feature musical and spoken word performances by individuals and groups from Kirkwood and throughout the greater St. Louis area. Franklin McCallie, former principal of Kirkwood High School, and Minister Gail Cannon are the guest hosts.

The Meacham Park Neighborhood Improvement Association is a non-profit organization working to improve the quality of life for residents in the historic Meacham Park neighborhood of Kirkwood. The association provides a forum for connecting neighbors, promoting youth activities and fostering civic involvement.

A donation of $8 is suggested. Admission is free for students. A portion of the proceeds will go to  provide scholarships to African-American students of high achievement graduating from Kirkwood High School.
