The Community Council of St. Charles County received a $10,000 grant from the St. Louis-based Deaconess Foundation. The grant is designed to support efforts in educating school counselors regarding resources available to low-income children and their families. The Community Council’s Fragile Families Initiative will help school personnel identify children in crisis, make referrals to appropriate human service organizations and assist families in accessing available resources.
