Kayvionne Cook has been selected as the 2006 Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club Youth of the Year. Other finalists included Kevin Green, Jasmine Clayborn and Kenisha Lewis, who each had outstanding preparation and presentations for the competition. The success of the Youth of the Year competition is due to the hard work of Liz Johnson, director of teen services, and Karen Luebbert. Other panel members for the competition included Herbert Hoover Board members Joan Silber, Kimberly Cook, Mylin Johnson, Walter Handley, Stephen Bruce, Judy Armstrong, Mitchell Washington and June Fowler.
